E-Invite was a small assignment I completed in my Graphic Design Diploma course at Hornsby TAFE 2022.

We were given the task to create an invitation/ poster for our Diploma showcase night. We had to think of a word that describes Graphic Design and the Design industry, and I decided to choose Meraki.

Meraki is a Greek term meaning “when you do something with passion, soul, creativity or love; putting a piece of yourself into what you do”. I think this is a beautiful representation of my graphic design work and the creative industry I belong in.

I chose to represent the word Meraki into a line illustration of a hand holding a heart. This represents myself and the love and passion that is in my design work.
